Carrie Darnell became a cutting educator in 2008. After experiencing continued education with Vidal Sassoon, Toni & Guy, and Paul Mitchell's advanced academy; she became inspired to share the beautiful geometric art of cutting and sculpting hair with others. Carrie has shared her cutting expertise, consulted, and built both beginning and advanced cutting curriculum for academies throughout the West Coast, including Aveda, Paul Mitchell, and Summit Salon Academy. Behind the chair, Carrie likes to focus on low-maintenance high-longevity styles that grow out seamlessly and can handle the PNW weather. She also specializes in natural coily hair sculpting, cutting, and fading techniques. After spending time working in a traditional barbershop, and hearing guest's stories, she became really passionate about making education for all hair types accessible and the standard for our industry. She also strongly believes in eliminating gendered language and pricing within salons and barber shops. Her classes will teach you body positioning, shapes, lengths and techniques that can be used on any human with hair.
